New education policy will be a boon for India

The new education policy 2020, which will surely be a milestone in the history of education in India, It has been approved after extensive deliberations by the government. The policy is comprehensive, comprehensive, far-sighted and will certainly play a great role in the future development of the nation.

The National Education Policy 2020 recognizes the need for flexibility in choosing the subjects that a student wants to study, the implementation of this policy will promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in India,

The new education policy also recognizes that skills such as coding and scientific temperament and evidence-based thinking are all students must learn to be good, successful, innovative, adaptable and productive in today's fast-changing world.

With the semester-based pattern, there is a lot of leeways regarding the choice of the child to select their interest in the subject. This would encourage children to explore different areas, which otherwise I believe were restricted to an extent

On 29 July, the Union Cabinet gave its approval to a new National Education Policy (NEP), which aims to bring several changes in the education system from school to college level.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that the NEP is the foundation of a "new India" and it will help close the gap between education and research.

It is now well recognized that online platforms have played an important role in opening the doors to the myriad opportunities offered by STEM education.

Coding-related courses have picked up well and online platforms have seen a lot of children being admitted to block programming, artificial intelligence (AI) and Android system development.

New policy

As the field of STEM education has gained considerable popularity in India, this online learning the platform has seen an 80 %  increase in the number of programs renewed, indicating an increase in interest and a positive sign for the future of STEM education.

One of the best decisions of the policy is the proposal to introduce coding from class 6 and onwards, "With the importance of coding in the NEP, schools will be more open to adopting new ways to master their children, including Are those that will automatically yield better results from learning

It is important to pay attention to these skills during the early years for the development of children. Therefore, this new policy will prove beneficial for growing children to gather their interest in coding at an early stage,

It is important that the coding concepts are properly distributed and the child is encouraged to draw his attention towards the subject. He also stressed that both robotics and coding courses have seen a steep decline this year. In addition to what is being taught in school, the online learning platform has seen many questions from parents regarding the shaping of their child's coding skills.

Particularly with the current situation, the Kovid-i9 lockdown has given students more time to explore their interest in the field and we have seen a doubling in participation from children over the past few months.

The policy emphasizes a holistic, learner-centered, flexible system that seeks to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society. It also balances inertia and pride in India as acceptance of the most effective ideas and practices within the world of learning. I note with great satisfaction that one of its lofty goals is to bring two crore school children into the school system and reduce dropouts. A focus on burden reduction, vocational education and environmental education are important aspects that are well covered by NEPs. Students will be much more empowered and will have the opportunity to choose the subjects they wish to learn.

Another welcome step is to try to improve governance by bringing in a single regulator to take care of all institutions except medical and law colleges. The policy paves the way for holistic education by envisaging convergence of science and arts streams. Focusing on ethics and human and constitutional values will go a long way in building enlightened citizenship necessary to deepen our democratic roots.

He has also expanded the scope of policy education, which has increased the school going years from 3 to 18 instead of 6 to 14. This will lead to greater overall development in children aged 3-6 years. The establishment of a National Mission on Foundation Literacy and Numericity is a very necessary step to improve the quality of education at the primary education level. NEP recognizes the importance of nutrition for the all-round development of children and therefore includes a provision for energy-filled breakfasts, in addition to nutritious mid-day meals to help children achieve better learning outcomes.

A well-known will in the new education policy emphasizes that the medium of instruction for at least fifth grade (preferably eight grades) will be in a regional language that is recognized as a native of India. This is a welcome step, as the mother tongue plays a very important role in the overall development of the child. The mother tongue, which one hears from the moment of the birth of a child, imparts a personal identity, connects to culture and is important for cognitive development.

Education in the mother tongues will help children develop an interest in regional literature and culture and will help them to better understand the customs and traditions that are indigenous to a particular region. I am glad that the policy also places great emphasis on the classical languages of India.

India is a large and diverse country with a mother tongue of languages and dialects. Many developed countries of the world educate their children in the mother tongue. When world leaders call me, they like to speak in their mother tongue, even if they are proficient in English. Great scholars like to write and speak in their mother tongue. There is a certain pride associated with speaking one's mother tongue and we should instill a sense of pride in our children.

Despite the emphasis on regional languages, the policy states clearly and disproportionately that there will be no opposition to any language and no opposition to any language. This is indeed a welcome move.

The new education policy of the country has been approved by the cabinet, it is said that according to this policy, many revolutionary changes have been made in the education of the country, not only education policy but also the Ministry of Human Resource Development has also been renamed as Ministry of Education.

The first education policy was introduced in 1986 in India, Some implement had been done  in the year 1992, with  some cosmetic changes were made ie small changes were.

but if we understand the country It took 34 years to implement a new education policy. The committee headed by former ISRO chief  Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan , together with many experts, drafted a new education policy.

What Changes are Made

First of all , there has been an introduced to connect with life skills devlopment along with studies. It has been the endeavor of the Modi government to promote skill development. Along with primary School education, Higher education there has been introduced agriculture education, Legal education, Medical Education and technical education.

If you have learned something in your school that can be counted as a skill that can be tested for employment, then it will be added to the report card. Now under the new technology, it will be a part of the man course. Another important thing has come in this new education policy is that the facility of multi-entry and exit has been given. For example, if you are doing engineering, for some reason if your studies Stops in the middle due to some reason like your money stops due to financial problems or diseases, then you do not get any benefit with old education, but now under the new education policy, if you complete 1 year of education If you have completed, then you will be given a certificate if you have completed 2 years of education, diploma and if you have completed three to four years of education then you will be entitled to a degree.
